Dystopian Art
We recently read Brave New World by Aldous Huxley and then created an artistic piece representing dystopia. I edited this image in Photoshop to distort the parents and give their child very piercing eyes to represent how lack of families in Brave New World impact it's inhabitants. If I was going to do this project again I would probably explore new ideas, and refine my project more.
Pre-Historic Flash Animation!
My partner Marisa and I just finished constructing an animation about the domestication of dogs using a combination of Flash and stop-motion. Something that blew my mind from lecture was recognition, which was in prehistoric times when people first began to recognize what we look like. I really struggled learning Flash, the thing that was hardest for me was learning how to shape tween. My favorite part of Flash is shape tweening because it makes really good transitions. A project I can see myself using flash is for a Humanities project, with something visual.
X-tranormal AnimationThis is my xtra normal animation! To create it, we used a program called "Xtranormal". It has pre-made characters and sets. You choose their dialog, choose camera angles, direct their motions, change their emotions and insert sounds.

Self Portrait
A recent assignment was a self portrait. At first I had no idea what concept I should use, then I created several drafts with different pictures in Photoshop until the end when i went back through and chose the one I thought was most refined. I used a lot of pink in my drafts because I really enjoy the color pink and feel like if colors had emotions it would be happy. I chose this picture because I seem very laid back in it and I was just having a good time.
