Algebra 1!
I am currently taking 1st period algebra 1 with Jennifer Snead. At the beginning of the year we covered the multiplication, division, subtraction and addition of fractions. We then went over linear equations and graphing points. We then expanded our knowledge of right triangles and Soh Cah Toa. After several difficult units we mellowed out and dabbled in a tad of simple probability. Recently we dabbled in personal finance and polynomials. For final exhibition, my partner and I created a slide show to inform to public about identity theft.
Matrices!
We are now working on real-life applications of matrices such as flight patterns.
Equations and Graphing Points
We recently completed a project evolving a program called Geogebra, which allows people to graph individual points and connect them. Each individual chose an image and then outlined it on a graph determining the points. After this we replotted our points to recreate the image in geogebra. My image was "Dexter" from the show "Dexter's Laboratory". After recording our points and recreating the image we used points to create 25 equations with the format y=mx+b.
